Last Thursday

Thursday was a super busy day but I wanted to get a quick post in.  I thought that I'd take the time to write a little bit more about it now. I had missed sleep that night but I was absolutely determined to finish an English paper that was due the next day.  It had to be one to two pages which was not really a challenge because I had a lot to talk about.  The problem was finding the time to get it typed.  I had planned to go to sleep from 7 to about noon.  Then I would allocate myself two hours for typing it.  I had a two hour study group starting at two, followed by a two hour math class, followed by a meeting with a friend.  The English class was the next morning. I ended up not getting ANY sleep.  Instead I pushed through and went to the library in the morning and typed the paper.  I'm proud to say that I got it all done, but it was quite a day!

New Greeting Cards

It's come to my attention that the customization options for my greeting cards are extremely slim. Therefore I have removed the old images and replaced them with new ones from MacDesktops.com. I hope that you enjoy the tranquil nature shots more than the vintage macintosh computer pictures that I had on there before. In case you are unfamiliar with my greeting cards, please scroll down the column on the right of this posting. Try them out. They're pretty fun!

40th Anniversary of Sesame Street

It's the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street.  It was prominently displayed on Google this morning.  I just thought that it was pretty interesting so I'm putting it up here.  Sesame Street is a show that I really enjoyed watching when I was a kid.  I actually read that the creator of Sesame Street died fairly recently.

Maine Marriage Equality Rejected

Unfortunately, above fifty percent of Maine voters are podunk hicks. They voted to repeal a law that could make Maine the first state in the United States of America to make marraige equal by popular vote. Unfortunately this didn't pass the popular vote. Here's the deal. This legislation was repealed by only a little more than fifty percent of the voting population. It is good that the margins are much smaller now but it's still quite unfortunate that marriage equality opponents are still using the same bs arguments that they used from California. That "the radical agenda" would be taught to schoolchildren in public schools. Well I'll keep you all updated on situations as they progress.

Venitian Weekend 2009: Rained Out

Well the Venitian festivities were a giant dud this year.  Everything was rained out.  Docks didn't really decorate this year because of the foul weather.  I had planned to go down at about noon or one but the weather was so bad I called my dad and told him not to bother picking me up.  :(
