Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard Gossip

I thought that I would share some rumors about the next Mac OS.  The official statement about Snow Leopard that Apple gave the public states that Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard will arrive in the first half of 2009.  In a presentation to suppliers, an executive at Apple said that 10.6 should ship sometime in the first quarter.  Another rumor that people are floating around is the complete lack of support for all PowerPC systems.  Because I have an iBook G4 that runs an IBM PowerPC architecture, I wouldn't be able to upgrade to 10.6  It is commonly known that Apple will not be adding any new features to mac OS 10.6  Instead, all of the changes will be to core components.  It will be purely optimization.  I hope that it runs just as well, if not better than Mac OS 10.5, which at this time is the  most recent OS that Apple has released for their Macintosh line.

Selling My iBook G4

Yes. You've been reading through the archives and you saw when I was desperately seeking money to get an iBook G4. I was so excited about it. Well, I've had it for a few years and I'm ready to sell it. I've bundled it with some useful software, and I'm planning to sell it on eBay.

Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard

I'm hoping to get a new computer. When I get the new computer, it will come with Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard. Leopard is Apple’s brand new operating system, and it’s jam packed with some awesome new features. Among those new features are Spaces, a program integrated into Finder that allows you to have multiple desktops. Cover Flow has been integrated into Finder allowing one to browse previews of PDF’s and more just by scrolling through them in the Finder. Time machine is just a new backup system allowing your system to revert back to an earlier version if necessary. Parental controls have been expanded, allowing parents to set time limits for the kids. If I were to buy the upgrade for my current computer, it would cost $129! That’s just one of the many reasons that I have to get a whole new computer.

Hi everybody

I'm really sorry that I have not really had the chance to write, especially after I promised you all some new posts. It seems like the time is just going by so fast. I need to get into the habit of writing every single day. I have been updating my podcast, so check it out. You can get it by searching for Bill's Online Journal on iTunes or by clicking here. I really hope that you enjoy it. My voice sounds really feminine on it though. I'm going to guess that my junky microphone is the culprit. Listen to it, and write some comments about it here.

Mac Desktops

Have you ever been to Macdesktops.com ? I really like their desktop images which are available as downloads for free. I have recently experienced some problems with the service. The site has been extremely slow. I'm not sure why, though. Well, I just wanted to say that you might like the images on the system.
